Dubai vs London

View from my parents’ windows –

View from our balcony –

I remember well the last time it snowed this much in London. We had a day or two off from school and went sledging on Richmond Hill, rather like these people, whose photo I found whilst searching for Richmond Hill on Flickr.
These two great days off playing in the snow must have taken place around 1984/85, when I was ten or eleven. I remember I went sledging with the son of the man who wrote ‘What’s love got to do with it’, as performed by Tina Turner.
And that, dear readers, is your random fact of the day.
