Electric plug news!

Many of my regular readers subscribe to my blog solely for updates on my latest electric plug opinions, discoveries and general adventures.
This evening, I’m pleased to announce to those regular readers a spectacular piece of good news, transmitted to me courtesy of Mrs Saul.
For the first time ever in Dubai, we’ve purchased an appliance that actually comes fitted with a British style three pin plug, so that I can plug it into my wall socket without being forced to buy a cheap Chinese adaptor. Yes, instead of coming with a piddly Euro style plastic plug which ignores the fact the whole Gulf region is supposed to use the three pin standard, BS 1363 is what’s on the end of the wire.
No need for me to search through a drawer to find an adaptor. No need for me to ram a biro into the wall socket so that the protective flaps open and I can jam the Euro nonsense in. No need for the plug to sit there in a wobbly ‘universal socket’ bought from the local supermarket, emitting the occasional spark, crackle and pop, like an electrified bowl of Rice Krispies.
Ladies and Gentleman, I give you, for the first time in Dubai, a vendor who sells something that works safely out of the box, fitted with the right kind of plug.
I give you our new Moulinex food processor, as demonstrated by my beautiful assistant.
