We went to see Shutter Island on Friday.
Do not be tempted to waste two hours of your life watching this film. Truly awful from start to finish.
Beautifully filmed, but just idiotic – DiCaprio overacting, plot full of holes. Ben Kingsley is excellent, playing his part brilliantly, but it’s not enough to save this truly mind-numbing film.
I can’t believe so many big names were involved and that it was directed by Martin Scorsese.
If you are on a plane and unable to get to sleep, do give it a go, though – otherwise, steer clear.
